This morning I woke up to a suspended Twitter account, and like I have had with my VK account, it annoys me, I will not deny it.
In terms of how I feel, I am actually more supportive to the Russian VK platform, as they at least give some info, Twitter on the other hand gives out nothing…
When I would look at it, I could be suspended for many reasons, but as they don’t tell, it is only speculation.
However, like with VK, I am sure Twitter will come to their senses, as I have been doing everything for months to stay away from being in any way offensive or breaking Twitter rules/ToS.
Actually, in all honesty, if I wanted to be offensive, I could, and would, have done so a long time ago, as there would be a simple thing which I would have done, which is send out translated nationalistic (Ukrainian) YouTube videos, which I only actually truly did once, which I followed up with a video that is patriotic to Russia…
That is the way I am, I do not want to hurt anyone…
Either way, whether Twitter will keep me suspended or not, my blog will stay active, but if you followed me at Twitter, you are now aware of what is going on.
Update 30th of April 2017:
I have been receiving far too many questions, so let me quickly answer the most asked ones here:
No, Twitter has not stated any reason for the suspension, neither did they actually contact me at all.
There are some who proclaim there may be political reasons for the suspension, however, to me this is all speculation. I also personally do not see why, and how, there should be a connection to the status of conflict/war between Ukraine and Russia and the suspension, to name the most uttered reason, as while I may be clear about being supportive to Ukraine, I have always tried my best to never be offensive to Russians, and all Russians who I have spoken these last hours at Moscow that followed me at Twitter say that they took no offence of my Twitter account, and do not understand why I am suspended.
I’m currently using the Twitter account @SnowCalmthUA, not very actively at this moment though, while my main account is suspended. I am currently not very active for the same reason why I was the 2 to 3 days before getting suspended not very active, which is that I have increased the amount of hours I am volunteering. The way I was at Twitter is in most ways also the way I am at my personal life. I will use this account only temporarily, as if I don’t get unsuspended, I am saying farewell to Twitter. I put 2 and a half years into my Twitter account, and during that time got to know some truly amazing people, but I don’t feel like restarting with the knowledge of getting suspended possibly again, and yet again going through a trial of silence…
If you still want to continue being in contact with me, my social media profiles can be found at the top of this page. I tend to accept most people as friends at my social media profiles, with the exception of Instagram.
If you want to help, you could always send an response to @Twitter and @Support at Twitter, but in all honesty, I doubt this is actually effective, however, you never know…
