Foreword

This translation was previously shared through YouTube, which will be unavailable as of the 15th of June.
It saddens me that I will be taking/have taken it offline after a fight regarding copyright with Yoola Media.

The song is meaningful to me because of my own past.
It has been one of the very few moments I had to ask help to make a complete correct translation possible.
As with any translation that is published here at my blog and at my YouTube, it is my intention to bring across the meaning of the words sung.

Original Lyrics

Bir uyda kecha kunduz,
Bo’zlashadi bolalar,
Gir aylanib onasin,
Izlashadi bo’lalar.

Kattasining ohlari,
To’kilganda dilidan,
Iymoni bor odamning,
Qonlar oqar dilidan.

Bu uyda kecha kunduz,
Bo’zlashadi bolalar,
Gir aylanib onasin,
Izlashadi bo’lalar.

Ona, ona, onajon,
Uyga sig’may ketyapman,
Kunduz chopib, tun chopib,
Sizga yetmay o’tyapman.

Devordagi osig’liq,
Ro’molingiz yig’laydi,
Uy ichida charx urib,
Uvolingiz yig’laydi.

Jismimda jon yig’lar,
Dasturxonda non yig’lar,
Piyolada choy yig’lar,
Yulduz yig’lar, oy yig’lar.

Sizni kunduz ahtarsam,
Kunduz yig’lar biz bilan,
Uydagi gul dov-daraxt,
Ildiz yig’lar biz bilan.

Choxga tushgan toychoqdek,
Talpinamiz siz tomon,
Tilni tishlab yig’laymiz,
Ko’rmaysizda onajon.

Onajooooon….

Oh, onajon, onajon,
Bo’zlayverib sil bo’ldim,
Borsa kelmas yo’llardan,
Izlayverib sil bo’ldim.

Ovutolmay singlimni,
Yig’laydilar dadam ham,
Boshin mushtlab jonini,
Tig’laydilar dadam ham.

Ko’rgim kelar onajon,
Ko’rgim kelar onajon,
Ko’rgim kelar sizni…

Sizsiz dunyo qorong’u,
Hunuk ekan uyimiz,
Ezib qo’ydi bizni g’am,
Qachon o’sar bo’yimiz.

Bo’lardiku onajon,
O’ylasangiz bizlarni,
Kim oladi bag’riga,
Yetim o’g’il-qizlarni.

Kichik singlim bir kuni,
Sizni yo’qlab qolgandi,
Alamidan mast bo’lib,
Dadam uhlab qolgandi.

Ovutmoqchun singlimni,
Bir o’yin topish kerak,
Eng yahshi o’yinimiz,
“Oq terakmi, ko’k terak?”

Oq terakmi, ko’k terak?
Bizdan sizga kim kerak?
Oq terakmi, ko’k terak?
Men kerakmi, u kerak?

Oq terakmi, ko’k terak?
Singlim senga kim kerak?
-“Bilmaysizmi akajon?
Menga onamlar kerak”.

Oq terakmi, ko’k terak?
Bizdan sizga kim kerak?
Singiljonim menga ham,
Onam, onamlar kerak.

Oq terakmi, ko’k terak?
Bizdan sizga kim kerak?
Oq terakmi, ko’k terak?
Bizdan sizga kim kerak?

Oq terakmi, ko’k terak?
Bizdan sizga kim kerak?
Oq terakmi, ko’k terak?
Bizdan sizga kim kerak?

Hudo, hudo, hudojon,
Menga onamlar kerak,
Oq terakmi, ko’k terak?
Bizdan sizga kim kerak?

Bir uyda kecha kunduz,
Bo’zlashadi bolalar,
Gir aylanib onasin,
Izlashadi bo’lalar.

Yetimlarning ohlari,
To’kilganda dilidan,
Iymoni bor odamning,
Qonlar oqar dilidan.

Dilidaaaan….

Oq terakmi, ko’k terak?
Bizdan sizga kim kerak?

Translated Lyrics

In a home at day and night,
Children are bawling,
Kids are running around,
To find their mother.

When moans of the elder one,
Shed from the heart,
Of the one who has faith,
Blood flows from his heart.

In this home at day and night,
Kids are bawling,
Kids are running around,
To find their mother.

Mother, mother, oh my mother,
I cannot fit into this house,
Running day and running night,
I cannot overtake you.

Hanging on the wall,
Your scarf is crying,
By sharpening itself in the house,
Your absence is crying.

My soul is crying in my flesh,
Bread is crying on the table-cloth,
Tea is crying in the cup,
Star is crying, moon is crying.

If I look for you at daytime,
Day is crying with us,
Flower, trees in the backyard,
Roots are crying with us.

As a cold, felt in abyss,
We are aspiring to you
We are crying by biting the tongue,
But you don’t see this, oh my mother.

Oh my mother…

Oh, mother, mother,
I have no power by bawling,
From the roads with no return,
I have no power by looking for you.

Abirritating my little sister,
My dad is crying too,
By punching his head,
Father cuts his soul too.

I want to see you, oh my mother,
I want to see you, oh my mother,
I want to see you…

The world is dark without you,
Our house is ugly,
Sorrow has repressed us,
When we will grow up.

It was possible, oh mother,
If you thought about us,
Who will take to his bosom,
Orphan boys and girls.

Little sister once a day,
Wanted to visit you.
With his heartburn,
Father fell asleep.

To calm down little sister,
I have to find a game,
And the best game that we have,
“White or blue poplar tree?”

White or blue poplar tree?
Who do you want from us?
White or blue poplar tree?
Do you want me or him?

White or blue poplar tree?
Who do you want my little sister?
-“Don’t you know my lovely brother?
All I want is my mother”.

White or blue poplar tree?
Who do you want from us?
Oh my little sister,
I need our mother too.

White or blue poplar tree?
Who do you want from us?
White or blue poplar tree?
Who do you want from us?

White or blue poplar tree?
Who do you want from us?
White or blue poplar tree?
Who do you want from us?

God, God, oh my God,
I need my mother,
White or blue poplar tree?
Who do you want from us?

In a home at day and night,
Children are bawling,
Kids are running around,
To find their mother.

When moans of the orphans
Shed from their hearts,
Of the one who has faith,
Blood flows from his heart.

From his heart…

White or blue poplar tree?
Who do you want from us?
