Chasing Fireflies

In twilight’s embrace, we come alive,
With youthful hearts, we dare to strive.
Amidst the meadows, in the moonlit skies,
A dance begins, chasing fireflies.

Their shimmering lights, a magic hue,
Guiding dreams both old and new.
Through whispers woven in the air,
A symphony of enchantment, beyond compare.

Beneath the canvas of the starlit night,
We chase their glow, a pure delight.
Their fleeting sparks, a waltz they weave,
In every heart, a dream they leave.

In jars we capture their fleeting grace,
A glimpse of wonder we’ll embrace.
Yet, like dreams that soar and take their flight,
Fireflies elude, beyond our sight.

Their light a metaphor for life,
The beauty found in moments rife.
Cherish each dance, each fleeting spark,
For in impermanence, lies the mark.

Through childhood’s eyes, a world of charm,
Chasing fireflies, we find no harm.
Their glow ignites the soul’s desire,
To hold onto wonder, to never tire.

As years advance and time rolls by,
The magic lives, though dreams may fly.
For in our hearts, their light remains,
A reminder of what forever sustains.

In twilight’s embrace, we’ll meet again,
Chasing fireflies, like now and then.
For in their dance, love never dies,
In eternal dreams, we claim the skies.
