Today is World Teachers’ Day, which falls on October 5th every year. As the child of a teacher, I am well aware of this important day. In honor of all teachers, including those who work in special education, home education, and online teaching, I have written a short poem. Thank you for your tireless efforts and dedication to your students every day.
Teachers, you are the light that guides us through the darkness,
the hand that holds us when we fall,
the voice that whispers encouragement in our ears.
You are the ones who show us the way,
who help us to see our potential,
and who believe in us even when we don’t believe in ourselves.
You are the ones who make a difference in our lives,
who shape our futures,
and who help us to become the people we are meant to be.
Thank you, teachers, for everything you do.
You are the true heroes of our world.
