Ding ding, breakfast served at the table for you.
Pancakes with the fruit, with the bacon and juice.
And guess what, they made them for you.
You ain’t have to go and get it, cause they gave it to you.
You probably think like big deal, just a plate of some food.
But your friend, though, the only time he ate was at school.
But he too embarrassed to share it, so he play like its cool.
But inside he hurt his people ain’t raise him like you.
But he ain’t tripping he gonna hit the block and make something shake.
His brother locked up, so he cool if they take him away.
Them girls love bro, they like he so crazy let’s date.
And he is crazy cause this life made him that way.
But look at you soaking it up.
Now you trapping and slanging, now your rapping and banging.
Now you in the trap with them gangsters.
Nah for real though, but to people that’s what you claiming.
And they see through that, yeah they know its a act and you hate it.

But it hurt to know that you ain’t a gangster.
Cause all the bad girls really want gangsters.
And all the gangsters just really want paper.
And all you really wanna do is be a neighbor.

So soon as you move out the house, you move straight to the hood.
To the face of the hood, you spend everyday in the hood.
You should have chased your potential, you was chasing the hood.
Ended up broke, now you understand it ain’t really good.
But it’s too late, now you gotta find a way out.
And now you gotta live that life that you was lying about.
So, now you strapped up for real.
Trapped out and tryna get your bag up for real.
Bills backed up for real.
You in the streets now, cause that’s what you always wanted.
And now you out here robbing, cause you really ain’t got nothing.
And now you really trapping people know you make it public.
There’s jealous people now that wonder what you making from it.
The most dangerous people are not dangerous people.
Its the people that tryna prove that they’re dangerous people.
People like you that won’t except us, but ain’t really evil.
People like you that can’t except and they hate they ain’t evil.
But congrats you a G now, dawg.
Old school gucci on repeat now, dawg.
Everything you wanted is complete now, dawg.
Your homies think you really from the streets now, dawg.
Only problem is, where you’re living there’s consequences.
25 to life, your friend he got locked in prison.
Somebody snitched on him, so you thought you was next.
But they lied, said it was you, so you got shot in the neck.
It really ain’t no reason to get caught in the streets.
But some people I give a pass, cause that’s all that they see.
But not you, not you.
You chose that life, that life ain’t choose you.
Rap music, did that do it, or what was it that had you so influenced?
Rap music, did that do it, or what was it that had you so influenced?
I just wanna know.

The victim’s name of the shooting that took place yesterday on Prescott Avenue is indeed 23 year old Cody O’Brient.
From all the reports we are hearing, he was a great kid that came from a great home.
One can only wonder why something like this would happen to a kid like Cody.
