Poetry Tuesday: The Shadow Aleksander Dovganyuk-Krym, October 31, 2023 In the shadows of a world gone astray,I find myself lost, adrift, in disarray. The threats that loom, the darkness they cast, leave me yearning for safety, a refuge at last. A tempest rages in the depths of my soul,as fears and anxieties take their toll.In the midst of chaos, I long to be saved, from the terrors that haunt me, unrelenting and grave. The burden of despair, a heavy shroud,in my family’s eyes, they see my cloud,a battle within, a darkness that’s real, isolation, despair, an emotional ordeal. As I wander through this endless night, searching for hope, for a glimmer of light,a desperate plea, a call for release, from the pain that seems to never cease. But as I face the abyss that beckons me near, the love and support, so staunch, so clear,in the warmth of those who care to stay,I begin to find a path to a brighter day. The storm still rages, the world remains cruel, but within these bonds, I find my fuel,to fight the threats, confront the unknown, for in unity, our strength has grown. With each step forward, a little less lost,as we brave the tempest, no matter the cost.In the darkest of hours, I’ve come to believe, that safety’s not found in what we can’t perceive. It dwells within, in the strength we derive, from the love and the hope that help us survive. In the tumultuous sea of life’s endless race,we find our sanctuary, our refuge, our space. Though chaos surrounds us, and threats may persist,in unity, there’s a feeling we can’t resist. For even in darkness, we’ll never be alone, our safe haven found, in hearts we’ve known. So, while the world may still appear a haze,in friendship’s embrace, we’ll navigate its maze. And even in turmoil, with courage unfurled,we’ll find safety in the chaos of the world. “The Shadow” by Aleksander Dovganyuk-Krym About Latest Posts Follow meAleksander Dovganyuk-KrymI came into this world in Belarus and am growing up in Poland. poetry Harmony of chaos July 21, 2023November 1, 2023 Amidst the chaos’ wild embrace,I find a symphony taking place. In the discordant notes that play,A harmony, hidden in disarray. Through turbulent storms, I hear the tune,A melody that wills me to commune. In shattered fragments, I see the light,Guiding me through the darkest night. The world collides in reckless dance,Yet, a… Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Mastodon (Opens in new window)Click to share on X (Opens in new window)MoreClick to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Click to email a link to a friend (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Nextdoor (Opens in new window) Read More
